This year, my family and I decided to do some backyard renovations. Putting in a vegetable garden was on the top of my list. I planted tomatoes, potatoes, snap peas, zuchini, peppers, radishes, leafy greens, watermelon, carrots, ginger, garlic, onions, and a ton of herbs. Basil was one of those herbs and it is flourishing in my garden. The plant is doing so well that I have more basil than I know what to do with it. So, I have been picking it regularly and incorporating it into my recipes. I don’t want any of it’s delciousness to go to waste.
If you, like me, have an abundance of basil growing in your garden, or you just like to buy it from the grocery store and are looking at ways to incorporate it into your meals, have a look at some of the recipes I have put together to help you enjoy your basil:
- Lemon Dill Chicken
- Mediterranean Chicken Skewers
- Chicken Pesto Pizza
- Veggie Egg Scramble
- Tomato Basil Quiche
